This mobile traveling exhibition closely connects children, families, kindergartens and museums, and disseminates the concepts and practical methods of museum education for children through the form of mobile tours. Relying on the rich cultural resources of Dongguan Museum and integrating local culture, the exhibition tells cultural relic stories spanning ancient and modern times and imagining the future in the innovative form of picture book scrolls suitable for preschool children, exploring the practical possibilities of early childhood museum education in families and campuses.
"Play" runs through the entire exhibition. Centering on children's learning characteristics, the exhibition content incorporates interactive tasks and breaks the conventional viewing-based traveling exhibition in the way of "learning through play", allowing learning to happen naturally in games. The supporting interactive task cards and companion exhibition manuals emphasize the learning experience of "joint family participation", enabling parents and children to establish deep cultural connections through dialogue, exploration and co-creation, and discover the natural link between life and museums. Guided by curiosity, more children can understand the city and culture in daily life and embark on their own wonderful museum journey.
